For each of these there are different techniques and procedure selection should be based on an advanced knowledge of facial structure, function and balance.
He was appointed a NHS Consultant in the Department of Maxillo- Facial and Facial Plastic Surgery at Manchester Royal Infirmary with Central Manchester Foundation NHS Trust in 2008 and was appointed the Clinical Director in 2013.
Tim Blackburn is ‘board certified’ as a facial surgeon in England, UK (a Registered Specialist in Maxillo- Facial Surgery with the UK General Medical Council -number 4536776) and has operated on more than 4000 cases which include the whole range of Facial Plastic Surgery. He holds both the FRCS(OMFS)Ed and FRCS(Clinical Surgery in General)Ed qualifications and is a member of the Association of the Facial Plastic Surgeons in the UK.
Tim has a national and international reputation treating private patients from countries across Europe, Middle East, North Africa / Foreign embassies including VIP / media clients. Tim has been featured on UK and international television programmes several times in relation to his complex facial reconstructive surgery (e.g. ITV and Discovery Channel).

Tim enjoys family life with his wife and 4 children. He plays classical piano, spanish guitar and enjoys learning jazz piano and woodwork.
